The solar led bollard light install in a coastal park, the main reason to choose our products is that it’s not easy to wiring in complicated park path, and near the seashore, there ain’t lots tall trees to shut out the sunshine that is very good conditions for solar led bollard. Because the shadows affect the efficiency of solar panel. Unlike solar street light, the solar bollards is short and are easy been covered by shadow. But a advantage for solar bollard is that it’s easy to clean the top solar panel. For this project, the overall height of the lamp is 360mm.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Solar LED Bollard
Advantages
Like other solar products, the obvious advantage of solar led bollards is no electric bills, it is totally green energy without pollutions. The only pollution need care about is the battery, when replace the battery please do not discard carelessly. Well, there are some other advantages not that obvious, here share some of them:
- No need city electric grid power, working in small DC correct so no electric shocks danger
- No need trenching and wiring, every adult can install by themselves with the install manual
- Automatically work with daylight sensor
Disadvantages
Actually like most of solar lightings, the power limited is main shortage of solar led bollards. If you want a very bright bollard lamp like 20W, you have to increase the size of solar panel to storage more energy for the lighting work on night, but the solar bollard is not able to support big size solar panel to integrated. Another disadvantage is that it needs a good environment for installation. You can’t install under the shadow, and it’s not suitable for the area temperature under -20℃ because of the Lithium battery can’t work under this temperature. So bellow is the suggestions when you want install a solar led bollard:
- Do not install the solar led bollard under shadows
- Do not install the solar led bollard in the area which temperature under -20℃
- Make sure the solar panel won’t be covered on purpose by someone
Installation Notes
- Solar led bollard light could not work without sunshine, please select the suitable model according to the local sunshine radiation and annual total radiation.
- Solar led bollard light adopts the long lifespan battery for energy storage. The working temperature can be between “-20℃~60℃”, but the user need to inform us the working temperature before place orders.
- Battery of the solar led bollard light can be stored for 6 months long after fully charged. Therefore please examine and charge it periodically after long time transportation or storage to prevent damaging.
- When you install the lights, please keep it away from any shadow of houses, trees etc. Please install the light in the sunshine morning in case of losing one back-up day.
- Keep clear of the surface of the solar bollard light with normal detergent to get maximum power generation, clear the dust or tree leaves or any grease.
- Solar bollard light have got the standard of IP65. The materials are made of die casting aluminum which can survive in the environment of seaside and desert.
- Please turn on the switch when using.
